WHO WE SERVE

YOU'RE BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER THAN MONEY
Whether you've built a business, considering retirement, are now managing inherited wealth, or simply want advisors who actually know your story, you might be in the right place.

You Built a Business.
Now What?

You built something. You took risks. You grew your business, even when it was scary. And now your financial life is more complicated than your friends who've had the same W-2 job for twenty years.

We speak business-owner language because we live it too. We know exactly what you mean when you talk about quarterly estimated taxes or trying to figure out how much you can actually "take out" this year.

We translate what your P&L tells you into actual decisions you can make. We help you figure out when to take money out of your business, how to structure it so you're not overpaying on taxes, and what "life after the business" actually looks like.

You're Close to Retirement and Want to Make Sure You're Ready

You've saved diligently for decades. You've done "the right things." And as retirement gets closer, whether that's 5 years or 15, you've got nagging questions.

"Can I actually afford to retire? Should I be doing Roth conversions? When should I take Social Security? What if I live to 95?"

We run the actual numbers: your specific situation, not some generic calculator. We look at whether converting some of your retirement savings now saves you money later. We consider the timing of your Social Security along with your other income. Ultimately, we answer the question everyone wants answered: "Will I be okay?"

You're Managing Money You Never Expected to Handle

Maybe your spouse always handled the finances. Maybe you're recently widowed or divorced. Or maybe you're just realizing you need to understand money that's always been "their department."

Here's what we know from working with dozens of people in this situation: Taking a more active role in managing wealth isn't about playing catch-up or admitting you "should have known this already." It's about education. It's about asking the questions you never had reason to ask before.

Many couples naturally divide responsibilities: one handles the finances, the other handles different aspects of family life. That's not wrong. But life changes. And when it does, we understand what it's like to step into financial decisions, to need things explained clearly, and to want advisors who educate rather than patronize.

Leaving a Family and Community Legacy

Your wealth represents more than a comfortable retirement. It represents values and lessons you want your children and grandchildren to understand. And you're starting to think about the legacy you hope to leave behind to the community and organizations you care about.

We work with parents and their adult children, sometimes in meetings together, sometimes separately. We've found this works really well because your kids learn from us instead of you having to be the "lecturer."

And when it comes to your charitable legacy, we help structure it so you're getting maximum tax benefit while supporting what matters to you. We can work with your attorney on charitable trusts and make sure your estate plan reflects both your family values and your community impact.

CLEAR FEES, REAL VALUE
What to Expect: Our Fee Structure

Most clients pay us based on the assets we manage together. This comprehensive approach includes financial planning, tax strategy, ongoing consultation, and access to our team whenever questions arise.

For younger clients or those with specific planning needs, we can structure our relationship differently, including on a project basis. We discuss fee structures transparently during our initial conversations, before any commitments are made.

Here's what you won't find: hidden fees, surprises, or commissions that create conflicts of interest. We're fee-based fiduciaries, which means we're legally obligated to put your interests first. We take that seriously.

Our Form ADV contains complete fee disclosures and details about how we're compensated. We're happy to walk through it with you during a complimentary initial conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a millionaire to work with you?

Not at all, but our approach does work best for people with investible assets, or business owners or families headed in that direction. If you're earlier in your journey, feel free to contact us to share more. We can talk then about whether we can provide real value to you.

How often will we actually talk?

Most families meet with us at least once a year for a comprehensive review. But life happens — retirement, inheritance, market changes, family events — and that means we may need to connect more often. Between meetings? Call or email - you're never "bothering" us.

What if I need to move money from my current advisor?

We handle the paperwork and will walk you through every step. We've done this many times and have it down to a system.

Will you talk to my bookkeeper and attorney?

Please, yes. Some of our best work happens when we coordinate with your other advisors. Since we're both CPAs, we speak their language and have productive conversations.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! While we are intentional about the number of families we serve, we are accepting new clients and are happy to learn about your needs and determine if we're a good fit.

Many new clients come through referrals. If someone you trust sent you our way, or you're reading this thinking, "Finally, someone who gets it," reach out. Worst case, we'll be honest if we're not the right fit and try to point you toward someone who might be.

What actually makes you different?

We know this may seem like marketing fluff, but we feel this as a core value: we care more about YOU than your money.

We're the advisors who sent flowers to a client having a terrible week. Who spent 45 minutes on the phone helping someone think through whether to help their child with a significant purchase.

Last, we offer a dual perspective in all we do. Paula brings organizational precision and empathetic perspective that catches details others may miss. She connects in ways that creates real understanding and builds confidence. Mike is a bit more immediate and outward-facing, the relationship manager who serves as a bridge between your other advisors and your real life. When we're facilitating family conversations across generations, we offer viewpoints that help everyone feel heard.

We think this makes a difference in the relationships we build and the service we provide.
